Nariman Ramazanov has been the Managing Partner of FINA LLP, one of the leading Azerbaijani law firms, since 2003

Mr. Ramazanov has practiced law since 1990 and has wide experience in Tax Law, M&A, Banking, Commerce and Energy Law and as well as all other economy-related legislation. He was the project manager and senior legal expert in various legislative and energy related projects, including EC TACIS, EBRD and USAID Projects. He has helped in the drafting of the Civil Code of Azerbaijan, the Foreign Investment Protection Law of Azerbaijan, and the Support for the Structural Reform of the Fuel and Energy Sector of Azerbaijan Energy Legislation, and the Taxation and Finance Assistance to the Energy Sector of Azerbaijan.

As a Managing Partner and Senior Lawyer of FINA LLP Law Firm Mr. Ramazanov has participated in various oil and gas related negotiations. He has provided foreign oil companies conducting their business activity under the specific Azerbaijani PSA (“Production Sharing Agreements”) tax regime with consultations on various aspects of the acting Azerbaijani legislation, particularly on the issues of M&A, incorporation and taxation. Mr. Ramazanov also provided foreign investors with the relevant legal advice involved in the privatization of the state owned enterprises under the State Program on privatization of the state property.

Born in 1963, Mr. Ramazanov studied law and economics at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Moscow, and the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New-Delhi, India. He speaks native Azeri, and Russian, English and Turkish.
