AEQUITAS partners and lawyers met with representatives of International Monetary Fund in Astana

AEQUITAS partners and lawyers met with representatives of International Monetary Fund in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of Kazakhstan law-applying practice in the spheres of bankruptcy, rehabilitation procedures and legal entity debt restructuring.

Based on their extensive experience,  AEQUITAS  lawyers shared their opinion on how to best protect creditors' interests before and after the bankruptcy proceedings initiation and presented their practitioner's  view of the guidelines alongside which the applicable legislation and state organizational-and-legal mechanisms of working with insolvent debtors should be improved.

The meeting participants expressed their satisfaction with the results of the meeting and confirmed their intention to further continue cooperation in the framework of improvement of the relevant legislation on the Republic of Kazakhstan.
