For the second year in a row the Firm tops the list of Russia's 50 largest law firms by earnings. The research method description says that earnings are the "key indicator in terms of a law firm's business economics...showing that the firm is very popular and its services are in great demand".

Kommersant also publishes industry-related ratings for a number of law firms' key activities, and Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners has been an absolute leader in litigation and arbitration. Moreover, the Firm was named as one of the two strongest tax law and tax litigation advisers.

A monetary approach has also been applied to rating of the leaders in particular areas of law: law firms' earnings by key practices have been compared to the absolute amounts of their competitors; international ratings and client references were used as additional criteria.
