Octavian Cazac successfully defended his PhD thesis

Octavian Cazac, Partner at  Turcan Cazac, holds now a PhD in Private Law from Moldova State University (MSU), the leading law school in the country.  Octavian has successfully defended his thesis entitled "Termination and Rescission of Contracts: Remedy to Failed Contractual Relations." 

The project had been supervised by Prof. Dr. Sergiu Baiesu, the dean of the Faculty of Law of the MSU, and has been defended on March 1st in front of the five-member Scientific Council and over 15 other guests, all professionals in the field. The objective of the research has been to reveal the true legal nature of contract termination and rescission, point out its multidimensional legal status, examine comparative law and case-law and to put forward recommendations for the courts' fair application of the legal provisions pertaining to termination of contracts, as well as to render proposals lex ferenda
