Alexander Jumayev is a Russian and Turkmenistan-qualified lawyer, specialising in banking & finance, corporate law, oil & gas, tax law and dispute resolution.

Alexander has extensive experience of working on cross-border projects, including multimillion project financing. He has guided and advised international holdings on legal, compliance and tax issues connected with Turkmenistan market entry.

Alexander has gained an in-depth knowledge of oil & gas law, advising a number of petroleum companies, particularly on PSA specific issues.

Prior to joining ACT, Alexander has worked for China Petroleum Technology and Development Corporation (CPTDC) and took part in Turkmenistan legal reform while working for German International Cooperation (GIZ).

Alexander Jumayev graduated with honours degree from Moscow State Open University Law School in 2007, and also completed an LL.M. in International Commercial and Corporate Law (with distinction) at Queen Mary, University of London in 2010. Alexander was awarded a prestigious UK FCO Chevening Scholarship.

He speaks Russian and English.
