The basic trend in development of competition legislation in Moldova focuses on the harmonization of the national legislation with European Union directives and practices regulating competition matters.

In the near future, important amendments to competition legislation are expected. The draft of the Law on State Aid has already been elaborated by NAPC. However, it remains to be approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Also, a new law on the protection of competition will soon be presented for public discussion.
