Mr. David Sargsyan possesses in-depth experience and knowledge in the field of legal advice and analysis. He is one of the leading legal professionals in Armenia in the fields of civil code, labor code, securities legislation, privatization, energy, banking and corporate governance.

In a previous assignment in the capacity of co-director of TACIS/PLS RAMBOLL, the Armenia Civil Service Development Project, he was responsible for the legal and institutional analyses of the civil service in Armenia; management of the office in cooperation with the foreign co-director; dealing with the Armenian authorities; and making preparations and presentation of reports to the Home Office and government counterparts. He supported elaboration of draft legislation on the local securities market. Mr. Sargsyan has experience in cooperating with international technical assistance projects working in the fields of privatization, transport, energy and accounting reforms.

He has provided legal and technical assistance to the Government of Armenia, as well as advice to numerous foreign experts visiting Armenia. He has worked with TI Armenia on development of anti-corruption initiatives, particularly the National Integrity System country report for Armenia in 2003.

Currently Mr. Sargsyan leads the team of dedicated lawyers of Ameria cjsc, member of Ameriagroup of companies, providing professional legal advice and representation and serving major Armenian and foreign companies in Armenia and the region.

He has published the Handbook on Ethics at Local Level (2003) and the Handbook on Local Communities Legal Framework (2003). He is also currently a member of the Armenian Bar Association and the American Graduates Association

Mr. Sargsyan holds a Graduate Diploma in Jurisprudence from Yerevan State University, Armenia, an MA in Policital Science and International Affairs from the American University of Armenia, Armenia, an LLM from Notre Dame Law School, US, and a Certificate in Management from the Polish-USSR Trade Chamber, Poland. His Candidacy of Juridical Science, International Criminal Law from Yerevan State University, Armenia, is currently pending.

Mr. Sargsyan is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Yerevan Djur cjsc (subsidiary of Veolia EAU – Compagnie Generale des Eaux) and Transparency International Armenia

He speaks fluent Armenian, Russian and English.
